Events for Youth
Episcopal Youth Event -
This event, held every three years, is an event for Episcopal youth from across the United States to gather for fun, fellowship and worship.
Be the Church -
The annual youth event will be held October 25, 2008. It's held at Camp Weed and includes a day of faith, fun and fellowship.
BreakOut! -
The purpose of BREAKOUT! is to encourage kids in their walk with Jesus Christ, by seeing how they can break the chains of the world that can make adolescence so yucky. BREAKOUT! is fun and action-packed, both for the kids and the adults who have brought them to camp.
Breakout begins on Saturday at 3pm and ends the following day at 3pm.
Happening -
Happening is a renewal weekend for high school aged young people.
The purpose of Happening in the Diocese of Florida is to renew the spiritual life of the high school students who attend in order that they may take their place in the ministry and leadership of the parishes and missions which sponsor them.
It is a weekend experience of fun, games, sharing, surprises, and most of all, a time of spiritual renewal and empowerment.
Everyone has a chance to meet in small groups to discuss and respond to a series of talks given by teenagers to teenagers. The talks deal with subjects such as Reality, Faith, Jesus Christ, Church and Prayer. It is a powerful encounter in which young people minister to young people, bringing Jesus Christ joyfully alive in a Eucharistic community of disciples.
Middle School Retreat -
The idea of this retreat is to rotate the program so that youth of these grades will never experience the same program twice.
The overall purpose of the weekend focuses on expectations from parents, peer pressure, school, playing sports and the outside world as they all try to pull youth in different directions… But, through all of this, there is the love of Christ. His love never ends or leaves.
The Middle School retreat begins on Friday at 7pm and ends the following day at 5pm.
Senior High Retreat -
The idea of this retreat is to rotate the program on a four-year cycle so that youth of these grades will never experience the same program twice.
The overall purpose of the weekend focuses on how to deal with expectations of parents, peer pressure, school, and the outside world as they all pull our youth in different directions and how can we remain faithful to ourselves and God.
This is a continuation of the Middle School retreat with different topics.
The Senior High retreat begin on Friday at 7pm and ends Sunday at 5pm.
